Every year, we raise against violence against women as part of One Billion Raising campaign as well as 16 days of activism. We bring street play, film shows, music and discussion sessions into communities to engage them on this subject and also raise awareness of the importance of non-traditional livelihoods for women. As part of One Billion Rising 2017, Azad Foundation celebrated the final day of the campaign to end violence against women with schools, colleges, local NGOs and other social groups. Our drivers also took part in a car rally in Kolkata and trainees performed a powerful dance at the culmination event in Delhi to show that love has the power to end violence.

In 2016, Azad Foundation campaigned in local buses as well as bus stops to raise awareness for women’s safety, in Delhi, Jaipur and Kolkata.
On International Women’s Day, Azad Foundation joined other organisations and women’s groups to march from Connaught Place to Jantar Mantar in Delhi to demand equal rights for women.
