This year, we strengthened our commitment to transforming lives through gender-just skill education (GJSE), empowering women with driving licenses, green transportation jobs, and policy engagement, while building vital partnerships for change.

This document presents Azad Foundation’s recommendations for the Draft National Policy for Women 2016, emphasizing the need for a focused approach on Non-Traditional Livelihoods (NTL) for women, holistic skill development, and proactive government intervention to create inclusive and equitable opportunities in the labor market.

The Year Book chronicles the success stories of 315 Women with Wheels trainees who overcame struggles and achieved permanent driving licenses through Azad’s six training centers in 2019-20.

This yearbook consists of the success stories of our trainees who have achieved a Permanent driving license (PL) in the year 2020-21, both for 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler.

Yearbook 2021-22 is an endeavor by Azad foundation to present the record of all the trainees who underwent the journey of a rigorous training and have successfully acquired their permanent driving license across Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur and Chennai during the period of April 2021-March 2022.

The Yearbook 2022-23 is a testament to the incredible journey undertaken by the empowered women at Azad Foundation who have dared to challenge conventions, shatter stereotypes, and forge their paths in non-traditional livelihoods.

In 2022-23, Azad’s roadmap has been thoughtfully directed towards rebuilding fairer communities for a gender-just recovery by addressing the challenges that left many of our communities under severe economic and psychosocial stress due to the pandemic.

The impact assessment study conducted by Ambedkar University Delhi evaluates Azad Foundation’s work from 2008 to 2022. Utilizing feminist research methodologies, the study explores how Azad’s Gender Just Skill Education (GJSE) framework has empowered resource-poor women through Skill++ training.
