The Programme Implementer – Azad Kishori will empower adolescent girls through leadership training, education support, community engagement, and synergy with Azad’s programs, ensuring their access to higher education and non-traditional livelihoods.

About Azad Foundation
Azad is a professional feminist organization working across social and religious divides to enable resource-poor women to empower themselves by engaging them in viable non-traditional livelihood options. Azad is committed to breaking patriarchal boundaries and structures so that women can exercise control over their lives and live with dignity. This is done through transformative capacity-building programs based on adult learning principles around the self and the skills needed for non-traditional livelihoods. Azad also engages with both men and women in their communities to create a safe and supportive space for development. The organization operates directly in Jaipur, Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata and partners with other organizations in Indore, Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad, and Lucknow.
Role Description – Key Responsibilities
- Strengthened agency of 1000 Azad Kishoris to make optimal life choices in Delhi by 2025:

- Strengthen agency of 125 Kishori leaders from B1 to B4 & 900 Adda Members during the project period 2022-2025),
- Formulate plan to deliver on transformative capacity building programme (Azad Kishori & Community engagement).
- Responsible to Integrate Azad Kishori Program with Women with wheelsand build synergy other community interventions.
- Enhance perspective, skills and personal leading to advancement to higher education of their own choice.

- Ensure B1-B4 leaders’ members complete School education and take admission in higher education of their choice.
- Those already in college, complete higher education successfully and take up employment.
- Link adda members & leaders to different scholarship programs offered by the government or any institutions for different categories of students.
- Hold residential camp for B3, B4 leaders every year focus on career counselling and soft skills such as communication, planning, facilitation, negotiation and so on.
- Prepare, Plan and facilitate monthly sessions with leaders on different topics mentioned in LFA such thematic issue like Gender, Patriarchy, unpaid care work, MHM, Cyber safety, Digital learning, Non-traditional livelihood (share invite, agenda, and conduct pre and post assessment, short report including consolidated assessment of the sessions.
- Ensure theMentoring sessions with B3 and B4 leaders is done by Sangini and do check if there are any crucial issues emerging which need to work upon.
- Preparing monthly updates & quarterly, six monthly and annual review PPT and reports.
- Hold Azad Scholarship program effectively, monitor on monthly basis & ensure they clear exams and move to next level.

- Prepare criteria and select accordingly leaders and adda members for scholarship.
- Monitor the recipients of the scholarship monthly, take their report card of the test, six monthly and final exams and practical. Be in touch with their educational institutes for assessing progress and prepare them for campus interviews for placements.
- Encourage and support employment of girls who successfully complete higher education.
- preparing monthly updates & quarterly, six monthly and annual review PPT and reports.
- Sustaining and increasing membership in Alumni Association and providing opportunity for further growth and their involvement in supporting other leaders.

- Facilitate strengthening of Alumni Association, organize alumni meet & sessions (quarterly or as required) with the members of Alumni association.
- Prepare, Plan and facilitate quarterly sessions with alumni association members on different topics (share invite, agenda, and conduct pre and post assessment, short report including consolidated assessment of the sessions.
- Preparing monthly updates & quarterly, six monthly and annual review PPT and reports.
- Azad Kishoris attained peer and family support for higher education

- Formation and strengthening of Kishori Adda
- Ensure minimum 60 peer groups / Kishori add are formed by the B3 & B4 leaders. Dialogue with the Leaders to form addas and Sangini to support monthly sessions and meeting.
- Develop recording system of monthly adda sessions & Meetings and ensure that it is in use.
- Conduct regular visits in these Adda meetings with Sangini or with leaders. Organize periodic basis provide capacity building support to leaders in facilitating sessions in adda.
- Preparing monthly updates & quarterly, six monthly and annual review PPT and reports.
- Formation and strengthening of connect with Parents of B 3 and B4 leaders
- Ensure Sangini connect monthly with the parents of the leaders on phone call.
- Monitor & participate in monthly meeting for support with Sangini. Parents are prepared for;
- Avoid early marriage, give opportunity to study at home,
- Open for higher studies in STEM and vocational courses and considering jobs in non-traditional sector
- Parents increase confidence in their daughters & allow them to travel alone.
- Parents are informed about other skill courses available in Delhi for themselves
- Conduct quarterly Chaupal meeting with parents of different area and collective chaupal in 2 days training mode.
- Organize 2 Collective Learning Events in a year inviting parents, leaders and adda members.
- Preparing monthly updates & quarterly, six monthly and annual review PPT and reports.
- Formation and strengthening of Kishori Adda
- Actively engage in Women with wheels and build synergy other community interventions.

- Ensure 20% target of the total enrolment,
- Facilitate the surveys, home visits, canopy display and other outreach activities in urban communities to reach out eligible women.
- Support in documentation work –case studies, MIS, PPT
- Integration & synergy with MGJ Program
- Initiate regular discussion with brother of Azad Kishori leaders and add members with the purpose to develop equality, masculinity, GBV perspective and reduce unpaid care work for girls and women in the house hold.

- Monitoring-Reporting, Networking & Campaigns

- Responsible for ongoing monitoring of different work undertaken by the members of the team,
- Responsible for Documentation of Program activities, case studies, update MIS etc.
- Facilitate assessment of programme progress periodically in order to adjust strategies and implementation plan if required.
- Facilitate team monthly meetings, be part of quarterly review of the implementation of all programme and present learning analysis to the leadership.
- Initiate and actively participate in all campaigns, alumni meet & any other collective events that may be undertaken by the organization.
- build alliances with other NGOs & CBOs working with girls and women in the communities.
Professional & Educational Qualifications
- Graduate/Post Graduate degree in social Science/Sociology /Gender Studies
- Skills: Good Knowledge of Hindi & English, Excellent communication and presentation skills.
